In Love
We are in love with woman
And she in love with man
We are in love with nature
And in love with every creature
We are in love with light
And in love with everything in sight
We are in love with air
In love with all it makes so fair
We are in love with beauty
In love with youth
With its sweet truth
In love with fire
So intense is our desire
In love with our senses
So in love we would rend their fences
And we weep to be set free
Yes, how we long
For one sweet song
A dreamy lullaby
To woo us back where we belong
We are in love with the sky
How all in it does fly by
We are in love with space
Its wheeling luminous grace
We are in love with water
Unto it we would build an altar
We are in love with colour
How beautifully it all does cover
We are in love with all creation
In love with humanity
What a sad calamity
In love with life
Such terrible strife
In love with being
Though we feel like fleeing
And we yearn for absolution
Yes, it breaks the heart
That we are set apart
Unable to atone
And all alone.
